2008 Presidentail Election

The 2008 presidential election will one day prove to be one of the most important and world changeing elections ever. The election of Barack Obama is veiwed world wide as a great and historic event. In a poll held by ABC 17 out of the 22 polled counrty believe the election of Barack Obama will improve relations between the US and the rest of the world. I think that many of the American people that voted in the 2008 election were well aware of how the rest of the world felt toward the canadates and I believe it could have had a great effect on peoples votes. Personally the 2008 election was my first time voting and the world view was a major reason why I casted my vote for Barack Obama.

The election of 2008 was different then any other election ever held. This is in large reason because of technology and its use. The canadates used technology in many ways never before used in a campaign. Both Obama and McCain adveritsed and post annoucements using such technology as youtube and podcasts. The biggest effect that the use of technology had on the election was the large increase in youth voting. Young people today use technology in their everyday life and by advertising with technology the canadates reached a large addouence of young people. The 2008 election had a 55% turnout for people between 18-35 which is 10% better then in the 2000 elction. The majority of the people betwwen 18-35 voted for Barack Obama so clearly the youth vote made a major impact on the election of 2008.

Blog 4 change on hilary's blog

In the last week Hilary Clinton's blog is almost completely different. It is updated almost daily so many changes were made. Though the stories were broken up the underlining similarity of the stories is the way Hilary Clinton has been supporting Barack Obama.
She has been traveling the country to support Obama. Hilary and President Clinton have even joined Obama and Biden on the campaign trail. Hilary and her husband spoke in Scranton with Biden and his wife. Hilary also gives her support of Obama following the last debate. She spoke about the way Obama spoke and the issues he confronted, such as the economic crisis. Hilary has and will continue to do all she can to support Barack Obama because she believes he is the best candidate for President of the United States of America.

The major thing I was focusing on during the debate was the financial situation that the US is stuck in right now. Sara Palin started off by claiming the problem was the greed of the mortgage companies and wall street, I disagree. I do think it is partially wall street's fault I do not think it is fair to let the American people off the hook. We as people must learn to live within our own limits. Palin did say this during the debate but her main point was to blame the rich companies. The one thing that caught my attention about Palin was the way she kept trying to relate herself to the "normal" people by calling herself a hockey mom. this makes me very upset. Maybe I'm crazy but last time i checked "normal" people do not run for VP of the United States of America. She is not normal, she is not middle class, and she is not just like all the other people that live in this country.

When Biden was asked to respond he did not do a good job. I believe that he even answered the question. He trailed off into how He and Barack will cut taxes and how McCain voted numerous times to raise taxes.

Over all I did not strongly connect with either party on the financial issue. The debate was very interesting though. I got to see more of the candidates then before and have a better idea of who I favor. I got a feeling from Palin that just made me mad. She relates her self to people she is not like which makes me mad. Biden did a good job all night. I believe he won the debate. He spoke very strongly. The only bad thing I got was that maybe he spoke to strongly, stronger then Obama had and Biden had almost showed more power then Obama, making me to view Biden as President rather then Vice President.

Hilary Clinton Blog

This blog is a good one. It is an overview of Hilary Clinton's recent events and views on current issues. At this point the blog is mainly about the economic issue and her view on the bailout bill. It also focuses on other important issues such as her new Hilary Sent Me! program, which is her way to help elect Obama to office.

The main difference I noticed about the blog is that it is very video friendly. Almost every post has either a video or good pictures to go allow with it. I also noticed that the posts have an underlining almost propaganda feeling. The author says things like, " like always Hilary is helping everyone." By reading posts like this you feel yourself supporting Hilary.

One main issue brought up in the blog is the financial crisis. The problem is presented in such a way that it is a problem with only one solution at this point. Hilary is a strong supporter of the bill and believes without it being passed the country will be in deep trouble. I agree 100% with Hilary that the bill must be passed. I believed this before reading her blog but even more so after.

2007 Mitsubishi Galant Ralliart

This blog is an overview of the 2007 Mitsubishi Galant Ralliart. This is the car I drive and i found it very interesting. The blog goes over many parts and features of the vehicle. It begins with the basics, speaking about the engine and the transmission and so on. The blog then goes into details such as the mew air bag safety system and the new back bumper design. It also talks about the other models of the galant such as the ES and the DE, which come with less options and less power. I found all this information interesting but I must admit I knew much of it before reading this blog.

Eddie George Preview

This is a blog written by Eddie George who is a former running back for the Tennessee Titans. He also happens to be my all time favorite football player. His blog is his ideas about the team this year. He makes his predictions of how the team will do and writes why he feels that way. He often mentions Vince Young and how his performance is very important this year. It seems to me that Eddie believes the team will be in Young's hands. If Young plays well then the team will do well, if he does poorly then the team will not be very good. This is very interesting because Vince Young was injured in last weeks game, so now we will have to wait and see how the team will do without him.
